INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for the 2020 Independence Heritage Museum Project will be received on behalf of the City of Independence by Kie Cottam, Public Works Director, of the City of Independence, at the City Council Chambers at 555 S Main St., Independence, Oregon 97351, until the bid closing time of 2:00 p.m. local time on December 15, 2020. Bids will be publicly opened (at the above address) and the applicable information read aloud immediately after the bid closing time, but written bid tabulations will not be finalized until after 4:00 p.m. (the submittal deadline for the “First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form”). Bids shall be clearly marked “Bid for the 2020 Independence Heritage Museum Project”, showing the date and time of the public bid closing, as well as the Bidders name, and shall be delivered to the location specified above, by or before the above bid closing time.
By no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on December 15, 2020 (i.e. 2 working hours after the bid closing), each bidder shall deliver to Kie Cottam, Public Works Director, of the City of Independence, at the same address as the bids were delivered to, the “First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form” contained in the bidding documents. This form shall be submitted regardless of the bid total. Bidders who fail to submit the required disclosure form will be considered non-responsive, and their bid will not be considered for award. The disclosure form shall either be submitted in the same envelope as the bid, or shall be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked “Disclosure Form for 2020 Independence Heritage Museum Project”, showing the date and time of the disclosure submittal deadline, as well as the Bidders name.
The work includes:
Remodel of existing building at 281 S. 2nd Street, Independence, Oregon to house the Independence Heritage Museum. Work includes new ADA Toilet Rooms, Office and Conference Room Space, Storage for Collections and Central Exhibit Space. Additional upgrades include mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and lighting.

This contract is for a Public Work, subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 (state prevailing wages) as applicable. No prequalification will be required for this contract.
